A separate form must be summitted for each request.

The CHHS counseling team will work through requests as quickly as possible however, due to volume, requests may take several business days to process. An email notification will be sent to the student's DCSS email when the request has been processed. Please review the guidelines below before submitting your request.

Course requests will be filled based on availability. 

CHHS cannot grant course requests based on teacher, period, or semester preference. If you/your child have a special need/concern related to a teacher, please reach out to the CHHS admin team. 

 

Notes on Band Requests:

To participate in Band, students are required to be enrolled in a band course both semesters. All band related schedule changes must be submitted to the CHHS counseling team from CHHS Band Director, Mr. Viviano. Please reach out to Mr. Viviano with any questions (nicholas.viviano@dcssga.org). 

Notes on AP/Honors Requests:

  • AP/Honors courses require more effort and work on behalf of the student. If a student chooses to add an AP/Honor class they must complete the entire course. 

  • Some AP/Honors classes require summer assignments. It is the student's responsibility to get these assignments and complete them. 

Notes on Dual Enrollment Requests:

  • To be placed in a Dual Enrollment course for fall semester students must have completed the DE registration requirements prior to the May 1 deadline. Spring DE registration will open in mid-late September. 

  • Before a student's CHHS schedule will be updated/changed to a Dual Enrollment course, the student must submit proof of Dual Enrollment registration via the CHHS Core DE Google Classroom (see Step 5 in the Google Classroom for further instructions). 

  • Students are NOT permitted to be on the CHHS campus during their scheduled Dual Enrollment blocks. 

Notes on WBL Requests: 

  • To participate in WBL students must have been approved through a separate application process. No new students will be added to WBL without permission by WBL Coordinator, Summer Rogers. Please contact Ms. Rogers at  summer.rogers@dcssga.org with all WBL related inquires.

  • Students must have a current job and daily, reliable transportation to participate in WBL

  • If a student requests to be dropped from WBL they will NOT be added back. Their spot will be given to student on the waitlist
