Chapel Hill High School's Counseling Department

The counselors at CHHS work with students, parents, teachers, and others to provide the support you need to succeed in high school and prepare for the future. Our counselors can be seen working with individual students, classrooms, or specific groups of students. Topics may include preparing for college/career interests, figuring out high school, or coping skills to help with personal issues.

Registration is an exciting time for the counseling department as parents and students meet individually with an advisor to discuss future goals and plans. A plan is reviewed each year in the spring. We look forward to seeing each parent come to our school for registration.

SAT Rules

*You must submit a photo with your registration for the SAT. The photo you provide will become part of your Admission Ticket. You will be asked to upload a digital photo during online registration. Your appearance in the photo must match how you will look on the day of the test or you will not be admitted to the test.

*Standby test-taking is not permitted. If you miss the last registration deadline, or if your paper registration has been returned unprocessed without enough time to resubmit it, you may be able to go online to request a waitlist status. This status may be available from the last registration deadline up until five days before test day. Unregistered individuals will not be admitted to the test center under any circumstances. Test registration on test day at the test center is not available.
