Rodney Latham was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Atlanta, Georgia to graduate from Redan High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Health and Physical Education from Valdosta State University. After starting his teaching career in Fort Valley, GA, he moved to teach middle and high school health and PE and become an athletic director in Henry County Schools. Mr. Latham then continued his teaching and coaching in Douglas County Schools at Chapel Hill High School where his basketball teams had record-setting and historic seasons. After 3 years as department chair, Mr. Latham will start his first year as Assistant Principal at Chapel Hill. He has earned his master’s degree from the University of Cumberland in sports administration and is currently getting his specialist degree from the University of West Georgia. Mr. Latham is excited about his new role in the school and community.
