Summer Camp
We will be hosting a summer camp the week after school ends, May 28-31. This will be a team camp for returning varsity players, and a skills camp on the other court. It will be run by the staff and WGVA coaches. This is open to all players, including middle school athletes who wish to learn the sport. It is highly advisable to attend, both for returning and new players. The cost will be $100, and will include a camp t-shirt, drinks, a pizza party on Friday, and awards at the end of the week. The times will be 4-8 pm from Tuesday-Thursday, and Friday morning, 8-12 noon, with the pizza party and awards at the end. Come on out, play some volleyball, learn a little, and have some fun!
Summer Schedule
There will be no workouts at the school in June, unless something comes up. This is Coach Spoor's travel time, and he will be mostly unavailable. If you want to go hiking to waterfalls, it's a bet that he'd appreciate the company, so let him know.
In July, summer workouts commence. We will begin on July 8th, practicing Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until the last week. The time will be 9-11 am. We will use that time to work on skills and play each day. Again, please try to make as many of these workouts as possible, since we can set up our offense and defense at this time.
Final summer tryouts will be 9-11 am on Monday, July 29th and Tuesday, July 30th. The final roster will be posted after practice on the 30th.
Fall Schedule
The schedule is 90% set at this point. The schedule dates are complete, but not all opponents are set. I have put a schedule in the schedule section.
One note- we are planning on a trip to Sevierville, TN for the Rocky Top Tournament on September 13-14. This is a Friday-Saturday tournament and we will be staying overnight. We will need chaperones, and there will be an additional cost for the hotel. When information is complete, it will be sent to all players and parents. This will surely be a trip to remember!

Thanks for showing an interest in Volleyball at Chapel Hill. Our mission at CHHS is to promote good sportsmanship, be competitive, and represent our school to the best of our ability. The past several seasons have been good for our program. We have been to the state playoffs every year for the past 5 years and continue to improve in all areas of the sport.
