Swim Team Diving in to a New Season
The Chapel Hill High School Swim team is beginning the season strong and looking forward to an exciting season. Coach Jihad Pratt is looking ahead to a season filled with promise. “We are looking to repeat as county champs and build upon our success at the State Meet,” he says.

Coach Pratt says he hopes to expand upon the county records in the 200 IM, 200 free, and 400 free relays. Last year, Joshua Wilkinson set the 100 backstroke county record as a freshman, finishing top 8 at State in the event. Josh is looking to take some more individual records down this year. Blake Ferdinand also had two top 15 finishes at State and is looking to improve upon them this season. Team captains are seniors Alexa Garcia and Savannah Zalesky, who have been dedicated members of the swim team for the last 4 years.

The team competes every Thursday at Boundary Waters Aquatic Center. Swimmers will compete at a county wide meet on January 25.
