Congratulations to Ethan Sayles for being named the DISTRICT STAR Student winner!!!! Ethan selected Mrs. Krystle Teal as his STAR Teacher. They were both honored at a Rotary luncheon on Monday, February 6.
The STAR Student award is sponsored by PAGE (Professional Association of Georgia Educators). Each year, each high school selects the one senior with the highest SAT score (taken in one sitting). That student is named the school's STAR student. The student then gets to honor a teacher who has had a positive influence on their educational journey. That teacher is named the STAR Teacher.
Ethan's SAT score outranked all competitors at the other 4 public high schools and 2 private schools. He will now advance to the Region competition.
